Started
Jénine Smith is a passionate and friendly Clinical Psychologist based in Auckland. She obtained her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Stellenbosch University. She did her clinical training at the Department of Psychiatry at Groote Schuur Hospital, at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and at Valkenberg Hospital.
I provide a gentle, welcoming space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. Every journey is unique, and I’m here to walk alongside you with care, insight, and compassion.

Education and Training
Jénine Smith completed her community service at Alexandra Hospital, where she specialised in treating and caring for adults living with intellectual disabilities. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) – PSY 0119822.
Jénine is au fait with psychodynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), family therapy, Imago couples therapy, emotion-focused couples therapy (EFCT), brain working recursive therapy (BWRT), solution-focused therapy (SFBT), as well as Binaural Beats RESET Therapy (BBRT). She is passionate about offering a safe, confidential, empathetic, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment.
Jénine believes in adapting her understanding and approach to psychotherapy to fit each client’s individual needs while maintaining an integrative stance towards intervention. She views therapy as a collaborative process, with the therapeutic relationship forming the foundation for meaningful change.
Jénine Smith currently practices in Auckland, where she works with clients of all ages, providing support for a wide range of mental health conditions and psychological challenges.
